When is the Honor 7X release date?
Honor held a launch in London today where it announced the 7X and a second phone, the higher-end View 10 model. You can read our hands-on review of the Honor 7X.
How much does the Honor 7X cost?
It’s £269.99, and that comes with 64GB of on-board storage.
What are the Honor 7X specifications?
It has a 5.93in screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160×1080. Those are pretty much the same specs as the Mate 10 Pro’s screen, although for the 7X it’s an IPS rather than pOLED display. On the back you’ll find dual cameras just as on the Honor 6X, but this time arranged horizontally rather than vertically. The main camera is 16Mp – up from 12Mp – but the secondary is still 2Mp as it’s used for depth sensing rather than taking photos.
At the front, there’s an 8Mp selfie camera which looks to be identical to the 6X’s and the same capacity 3340mAh battery inside. Processing power comes from the Kirin 659 chip with 4GB of RAM. In China there’s a choice of 32, 64 or 128GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards. However, only the 64GB model will be sold in the UK. It’s a dual-SIM phone, but you have to choose whether you want to use the second slot in the tray for a SIM or a microSD card. Usefully there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB charging port. Due to the thin top and bottom screen bezels the fingerprint scanner is located on the back. The phone comes in the signature Blue, but it also comes in Black.
