On Twitter he replied to his own month-old tweet saying he had updated information, correcting his previous design suggestion:
It pares back the expectation the S11 Plus will have five cameras, showing four plus a flash. If 2019 was the year that the iPhone 11 and Pixel 4 popularised square camera modules, then this is a strong hint that 2020 will be a year when smartphone companies stuff more cameras into phones – with those modules becoming quite large and rectangular. This leak is of the alleged S11 Plus, although we reported recently that Samsung might skip a whole ten numbers for its 2020 phone and call the range the Galaxy S20 series. This therefore could be our first look at the S20 Plus. If Samsung repeats the hardware design sharing of the S10, then we’d think this is also the camera set up for the smaller S11/S20. This could be the first of its own phones in which Samsung decides to put its 108Mp camera sensor, though with four to play with you can expect the versatility of wide, ultra-wide and telephoto too, as well as the increasingly popular time of flight sensor for better depth sensing. We expect Samsung to launch the S11 (or S20) series in March shortly after Mobile World Congress.
