Here, we’ll guide you to unlock the bootloader of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 smartphone. Moreover, this bootloader unlocking process is quite simple with no complicated steps at all. Pre-Requisites:
To avoid any interruption, charge your device to at least 50%.
Install the latest official Xiaomi USB drivers on your PC.
Furthermore, install the latest ADB drivers on PC.
Most important, take backup of your contacts, apps, messages, notes, etc. before moving ahead.
After doing everything as given above, let’s start Xiaomi Mi Note 10 bootloader unlock process.
Steps to Unlock Bootloader of Xiaomi Mi Note 10:
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Open Mi Account.
Step 3: Sign in if you already have a Mi account OR create a new Mi account.
Step 4: After you successfully sign in, enable Sync and Find device options from Mi Cloud.
Note: You might have a different screen as compared to the above image.
Step 5: Now go to the About Phone section.
Step 6: Scroll down and tap on the MIUI version 7 times. A message saying, “You’re 4,3,2,1 steps away from being a Developer” will appear. Tap on it until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears on the screen. Note: This will enable the hidden Developer options in your phone settings. Step 7: Go back and click on Additional Settings.
Step 8: Scroll down and tap on Developer options.
Step 9: On the next screen, enable OEM Unlocking.
Step 10: Similarly. scroll down and enable USB debugging.
Step 11: Further, click on Mi Unlock Status. You’ll be asked for permission to view your device ID, IMEI number etc. in a pop-up dialog. Click on the Agree option.
Note: Make sure you have a SIM card inserted in your phone. Without a SIM card, you’ll not be able to go ahead. Now you’ll see the following screen.
Step 12: Simply click on Add account and device.
A message saying, “Added successfully. Mi Account is associated with this device now” will appear.
Step 13: Switch off your phone completely.
Then you need to boot Xiaomi Mi Note 10 into Fastboot mode. Step 14: To do so, press and hold the Volume Down key + Power key simultaneously. Leave all the keys as soon as the fastboot logo appears. This is how you can restart your phone into Fastboot mode. Step 15: Using a USB cable, connect your phone to PC. Step 16: Download Mi Unlock Tool. Note: Do NOT download the latest Mi Unlock Tool from the official Mi website as it’ll take 15-30 days to unlock the bootloader using that. Step 17: Extract the tool on your PC. You’ll see the below files in the extracted folder:
Step 18: Launch miflash_unlock.exe file.
Note: Run it as Administrator. Step 19: A disclaimer window will appear now. Just tap on Agree.
On the next screen, a Sign in window will appear now.
Step 20: Enter your Username and Password to login to Mi Account.
Note: Sign-in using the same account which you’ve on your phone (Refer Step 3). Now the Mi tool will confirm whether your Mi Account has permissions or not. Hence wait.
Upon successful connection, the below window will appear.
Note: If Mi Unlock Tool shows an error connection, then re-install Xiaomi USB drivers. Step 21: Let’s start Xiaomi Mi Note 10 bootloader unlock process now. For that, tap on the Unlock button.
A warning unlock countdown will appear now.
Step 22: To begin the actual Xiaomi Mi Note 10 unlock bootloader process, click on Unlock anyway.
This will start Xiaomi Mi Note 10 bootloader unlocking process.
Wait until it finishes.
As soon as it completes, a message saying Unlocked successfully will appear as follows.
Step 23: Restart your phone by clicking on Reboot Phone.
Note: When your phone restarts, an Unlocked message will show up under the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 logo. Finally!
